Offense: Scoring 30th, Yards 30th, DVOA 31st; Defense: Scoring 18th, Yards 2nd, DVOA 2ndNotable additions: Cole Beasley, John Brown, Tyler Kroft, Mitch Morse Miles Sanders Jersey Color Rush , Notable losses: Charles ClayWhat are they good at? The Bills defense was stellar last season, especially against the pass, as they finished 2nd in passing DVOA. But some regression is due. They were just 18th in adjusted sack rate, with Jerry Hughes leading the team with 7 sacks. What made them so good was the 4th best interception rate and the best yards per catch against at 9.9 yards. But the latter is not a repeatable achievement, in the past decade only three other teams have held opponents to under 10 yards a reception: the 2014 Broncos, 2013 Seahawks, and 2009 Colts. What are they bad at? Have you seen Josh Allen try to play quarterback? Why the Eagles will winNo really, have you seen Josh Allen try to play quarterback? It’s like Tim Tebow but without all the fanfare Cheap Miles Sanders Jersey , or winning. To be fair to Allen, he had a poor supporting cast last year. But he’s going to have a poor one again this year. Their biggest signings were a center and Cole Beasely. They used the 9th overall pick on a defender. This will once again be a very bad offense. Why the Eagles will lose Here’s another potential trap game. The Eagles will be coming off of Sunday Night Football at Dallas. That will be one of the biggest games of the season, and they follow it up with a 1:00 road game in Buffalo. maybe the most unexciting game of the year. The 2019 NFL offseason has begun for the Philadelphia Eagles, which means Howie Roseman and Doug Pederson will spend the next couple of weeks evaluating the 2018 roster. It’s time to start figuring out what this team needs to do to get back to the Super Bowl. Today we’ll continue this roster outlook series by looking at the running back position.THE PLAYERSWENDELL SMALLWOODRegular season stats: 324 snaps, 87 carries, 364 rushing yards, 4.2 average, 3 rushing TD Womens Miles Sanders Jersey , 28 receptions, 230 receiving yards, 2 receiving TD, 2 fumblesPlayoff stats: 18 carries, 53 yards, 2.9 average, 3 receptions, 26 receiving yardsReview: Smallwood wasn’t even a lock to make the 2018 roster as he battled for the fourth running back spot in training camp. He ultimately did enough to not lose the job. Multiple injuries to the running back position forced Smallwood into action. Overall Miles Sanders Philadelphia Eagles Jerseys , he was decent relative to expectation. Pass protection was a major issue, however, and there was one point during the year where he was phased out of the rotation entirely ... for the second season in a row. Smallwood bounced back and ended up being the Eagles’ “lead back” for a late season run that extended into the playoffs. Outlook: Smallwood is JAG: Just A Guy. He runs hard, which is nice, but there are also plenty of times where he leaves yards on the field due to poor vision. Having him as a third or fourth running back is acceptable but he’s just not an ideal option as a lead ball carrier. Smallwood, entering the final year of his contract, will need to fight for his spot on the 2019 roster.
