Richard Mille Launches the RM 63-02 Automatic Worldtimer in Red Gold and Titanium Richard Mille has unveiled a new version of the RM 63-02 Automatic Worldtimer, this time in red gold and titanium, featuring a skeletonized dial with pink and burgundy accents.
The RM 63-02's standout feature is its innovative approach to the worldtime function.
Richard Mille's movement and case engineers have integrated this mechanism directly into the rotating bezel, rather than using a crown or push-button to adjust the time.
Crafted from micro-blasted 5N red gold and mounted on ball bearings, the bezel allows the wearer to select a reference city with a simple rotation, instantly displaying the local time.
An integrated wheel connected to the hour wheel adjusts the time in the selected city at 12 o'clock while simultaneously updating the other 23 time zones displayed on the bezel.
A 24-hour inner bezel ensures clear readability of all time zones, while a two-tone pink and burgundy disc distinguishes daytime from nighttime.
The RM 63-02 features a round case measuring 47 x 13.45 mm, crafted from satin-finished 5N red gold with polished bevels and a grade 5 titanium case band whose finish matches the front.
Composed of three parts, the case is assembled with 12 grade 5 titanium spline screws and is water-resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, sealed by two nitrile O-rings.
The large crown is fitted with a burgundy bezel made of Alcryn, an advanced material that offers the soft feel of vulcanized rubber while ensuring exceptional wear and environmental resistance.
A pusher at 4 o'clock selects the winding, hand-setting, and neutral functions. A small window at 4 o'clock displays the current function: W for winding, N for neutral, and H for hand-setting.
Entirely developed in-house by Richard Mille, the CRMA4 automatic movement beats at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and features a baseplate and bridges crafted from grade 5 titanium.
On the dial side, a large black rhodium-plated bridge with a circular brushed finish clearly displays the worldtimer mechanism's gears. This striking display enhances legibility and highlights the oversized date.
The date function, located at 12 o'clock, features two skeletonized titanium discs and can be adjusted via a gold pusher on the left case side at 11 o'clock.
The rapidly rotating barrel, ensuring a 50-hour power reserve, is wound by a bidirectional rotor in 5N red gold and grade 5 titanium, visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback.
The CRMA4's exceptional finishing—from the polished bevels and brushed edges to the micro-blasted bridges treated with PVD and electroplasma, and the circular brushed wheels—demonstrates the meticulous attention paid to every component.
