Hublot celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Big Bang collection at the 2025 International Haute Horlogerie Exhibition in Mexico. Mexico City, Mexico, October 15, 2025 – To celebrate the 20th anniversary of its iconic Big Bang collection, Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot hosted a private event in Mexico City, bringing together leading figures from the worlds of watchmaking, fashion, sports, and culture to witness this momentous occasion.
The evening featured a stunning appearance by Belinda, a renowned Mexican pop culture icon – singer, actress, and friend of Hublot. She recently gained widespread attention for her role in the musical "Mentiras All Stars," in which she will portray Princess Charlotte of Belgium. Guests including Ana de la Reguera and Iván Amozurrutia also joined Hublot in celebrating this pivotal moment in luxury watchmaking.
On this occasion, Hublot proudly unveiled the Big Bang Unico Calavera All Black. This limited edition of 100 pieces marks the brand's first timepiece to feature a skull motif on a sapphire dial. The 42mm watch features a sapphire dial adorned with a distinctive skull motif, creating a subtle interplay of light and dark between the case and the in-house UNICO movement. At 9 o'clock, Hublot has designed a unique kinetic device for the Big Bang Unico Calavera All Black, where the skull's left eye rotates continuously above the small seconds counter.
This new timepiece inherits the DNA of the Big Bang collection: two large luminescent hands precisely display the hours and minutes; a 60-minute counter and a skeletonized date window at 3 o'clock. This timepiece, in black and grey, will be a striking addition to the limited edition all-black watch category, which has been a key part of the Big Bang collection since 2006.
True to Hublot's watchmaking heritage, the Big Bang Unico Calavera All Black watch is crafted from a variety of materials to withstand the rigors of everyday wear. The screws and pushers are crafted from titanium, the caseback is ceramic, and the crown is crafted from black PVD-coated titanium overmolded with rubber. The strap, designed exclusively for this model, cleverly combines calfskin and rubber, featuring an embossed skull motif. The new timepiece also comes with a textured black rubber strap secured with a titanium and ceramic folding clasp. This cutting-edge watch is presented in a sophisticated gift box featuring a unique skull motif on the front, custom-designed for this numbered anniversary edition.
Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot, said: "The Big Bang collection embodies the Hublot spirit – a spirit of challenging convention and constantly reinventing modern watchmaking through the Art of Fusion. Since its launch in 2005, it has continuously pushed the boundaries with its in-house movements and innovative materials, becoming the ideal platform for complications and creative collaborations. Today, on its 20th anniversary, we celebrate this heritage while also looking forward to the possibilities of the future."
David Tedeschi, Managing Director of Hublot Middle East, Africa, India and Latin America, added: "Mexico is a vibrant market with a growing community of collectors who truly understand and appreciate Hublot's bold style. The Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIAR) provides a unique platform for us to celebrate this connection, showcase our latest creations, and further solidify our long-term commitment to the region."
Joining guests at the event, Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot, emphasized the importance of the Big Bang collection: Since its launch in 2005, it has become a symbol of innovation, distinctive design, and stylish style in fine watchmaking. With milestones set by special editions in sports, art, and fashion, the Big Bang collection continues to push boundaries, reinventing itself while preserving its legacy.
On this unforgettable evening, Hublot celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Big Bang collection and paid tribute to the brand's bold, innovative, and visionary spirit, which continues to inspire Hublot owners, collectors, and watch enthusiasts around the world.
